Our Bishop's Story

Meet Bishop Washington

Bishop Tyrone C. Washington, Sr.

Bishop Tyrone C. Washington, Sr. is a dedicated servant-leader of Jesus Christ whose ministry spans more than 28 years of faithful service, spiritual leadership, and community impact. He is the devoted husband of First Lady Jacquelyn Washington and the proud father of Tyrone Jr. (T.J.), Tylyn, Tylea, and Tyaj. He is also a loving grandfather to Ayden Tru Washington, Ayriah Washington, and Nova Aljoe. Beyond his family, Bishop Washington is recognized as a spiritual father, mentor, and counselor to many, helping individuals of all ages grow in their relationship with Christ and discover their God-given purpose.

His calling into ministry was profoundly shaped during a mission trip to Haiti, where an unexpected encounter with God transformed the trajectory of his life. What began as a step of faith outside his comfort zone became a divine appointment that awakened a deeper passion for ministry and a lifelong commitment to advancing the Kingdom of God.

Our Purpose

In November 2015, Bishop Washington came under the leadership of Apostle A.L. Henderson of 21st Century Ekklesia Church in Bremen, Georgia, further strengthening his commitment to Kingdom service. Following the leading of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Washington relocated to Georgia and joined First Missionary Baptist Church of Atlanta under the leadership of Bishop C.L. Carter, Sr., who embraced him as a spiritual son. In January 2018, the vision of “Two Ministries, One Leadership, Kingdom Purpose” became a reality as he was officially installed as Pastor of Dominion & Power Ministries and launched the ministry assignment God had placed in his heart as Founder and Visionary of Total Truth Restoration Ministries.

Today, Bishop Washington continues to serve with a heart surrendered to God and a passion for worship, discipleship, and community transformation. His life reflects a steadfast commitment to obedience, faith, humility, and love. Through preaching, teaching, mentoring, and servant leadership, he remains devoted to his mission: to glorify God, equip believers, and transform lives through the saving and restoring power of Jesus Christ.

God's Call

Throughout his ministry journey, Bishop Washington has served in numerous leadership capacities, including Youth Pastor, Armor Bearer, Men of Destiny Ministry Leader, Chaplain with the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office and Austell Police Department, Executive Leadership Team member, and Board Director for several community-focused nonprofit organizations. His ministry has been characterized by humility, integrity, and an unwavering desire to see lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ.

A significant part of his spiritual development came under the mentorship of his spiritual father, Bishop Jerry J. Henry, Sr., founder of Dominion & Power Ministries in Harvey, Louisiana. Through this relationship, Bishop Washington gained valuable wisdom, leadership insight, and spiritual discipline that continue to influence his ministry today.
